Sub-Theme 1

Information Literacy Across Diverse Communities: This sub-theme focuses on the assessment, impact, and specific needs related to information literacy among varied demographic and professional groups, particularly outside traditional academic contexts.

Sub-Theme 2

Documentation and Integration of Indigenous Knowledge Systems: This sub-theme is dedicated to the operational and strategic aspects of modern librarianship, including the adoption of new technologies, management of collections, quality assessment, and professional competencies.

Sub-Theme 3

Modernization and Management of Library Resources and Services: This sub-theme is dedicated to the operational and strategic aspects of modern librarianship, including the adoption of new technologies, management of collections, quality assessment, and professional competencies.

Sub-Theme 4

Scholarly Communication and Research Metrics in the Indian Context: This theme examines the patterns, productivity, and impact of academic research in India, utilizing scientometric, altmetric, and other analytical methods. It also touches upon related policy issues like affirmative action.

Sub-Theme 5

Information, Media, and Society in the Digital Age: This sub-theme explores the broader societal intersection of information, including its representation in media, the challenges of misinformation, and the analysis of user-generated content in digital spaces.

Sub-Theme 6

Strategic Outreach and Community Engagement in Public Libraries: This sub-theme addresses the vital role of public libraries, such as the State Central Libraries and District Libraries, as accessible information hubs for the general populace. It moves beyond academic settings to explore how these institutions connect with and serve their diverse communities. The goal is to analyse and enhance strategies that increase visibility, engage citizens, and and solidify their position as essential centres for lifelong learning, cultural participation, and equitable access to information for everyone in the community.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract: Abstracts should be 300 words or less and must provide a clear overview of the research objectives, methodology, and key findings.
  • Full Paper: Full papers should be in English, between 5,000 to 8,000 words (including references), adhering to the prescribed formatting guidelines.
  • Similarity Index: All authors submitting full papers are required to include a plagiarism check report. The similarity index must be ≤ 10%.
  • Citation Style: APA 7th Edition format.
  • Original paper submissions related to the conference’s main theme or sub-themes, formatted in 12-point Times New Roman and APA 7th Ed. style, may be sent to: rjdlisnehu@gmail.com
  • Accepted papers will have opportunity for presentation during dedicated sessions and inclusion in the conference proceeding.
